Frequently Asked Questions
Tracey Cole TBT
Q: What's the advantage of TBT versus other body work techniques?
A: Firstly, it requires no manipulation or massage, it's very gentle. Secondly, practitioners seek out the primary cause. When my own horses have had problems, I was never certain if a particular issue was a symptom or compensation for something else. TBT aims to find the energetic primary cause and re-align it.
Q: Is TBT like Reiki?
A: Although they're both energetical techniques, unlike Reiki, TBT relies on the horse's own energy to re-align and the energy doesn't come from the practitioner. The practitioner 'tells' the body where to re-align, as bodies can be unaware!
Q: How is TBT working, what’s happening?
A: On a quantum level, each molecule, each atom vibrates, which means that when a whole structure is built, such as a bone or nerve and so on, there is an overall vibration or ‘motility’. This is imperceptible to us. When the motility of a structure is ‘out’, in other words misaligned, that structure cannot function optimally. TBT uses the body’s own energy to gently bring that structure back into its best alignment.
Q: What is your qualification?
A: I have two TBT certifications – Skeletal Alignment Specialist and Functional Alignment Specialist from the Tucker BioKinetic University, mentored by Dr Renee Tucker. I’m currently studying for the Master TBT Practitioner qualification.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes
Q: How much rest do horses need after a session?
A: Rest for 2 days. On the third day, light exercise is advised – (slow) walk and trot
Q: How many sessions do horses need?
A: It depends on their issues. Most often 1-3 sessions. After a session, there is some processing for the mind and body to carry out, hence, I will do as much as the horse is able to do, without overloading their system.
Some horses may only need a maintenance session once very 6-12 months
Q: What areas do you work in?
A: I’m based in Leek. I work in Staffordshire, East Cheshire, Derbyshire, although contact me if you’re outside this area as I may be able to travel.
Q: Can I join your mailing list for latest offers?
